Image Resize Tool 1.0

Image Resize Tool 1.0 is a freeware utility created by Vagharshak Tozalakyan. It can be used to apply graphical operations on a set of image files. Currently it allows to proportionally or unproportionally resize images (create thumbnails), convert between different image formats, append textual labels (copyright notices) or add graphic watermarks.

Supported Image Formats

Input formats: JPEG, GIF, PNG, BMP, EMF, WMF, ICO.
Output formats: JPEG, GIF, PNG.

Installation

No special installation required. Just extract the content of the ZIP archive into a separate folder on your hard drive or USB disk and use. Please note, that the software cannot be run directly from CD-ROM, because it needs to write some auxiliary files in the same folder where the program executable is located.

How to Use

  1. Launch the program.
  2. Click the Add Files button and select the source images. You may select multiple images at once or click the button multiple times to add images from another location.
  3. Specify the output parameters at the left side of the main window.
  4. Select the destination folder at the top of the main window.
  5. Click the Convert button.
  6. Enjoy!

Output Parameters

Image Resize Tool

Width, Height

The maximum width and height of the resulting images in pixels.

Keep Proportions

Indicates if the image proportions should be kept while processing the thumbnails.

Enlarge to Fit

Indicates if the small images should be enlarged to fit the maximum width and height.

Output Format

The format of output images - JPEG, GIF or PNG. The Parameters button may be clicked to specify the parameters of the selected format (like the quality of JPEG images, etc.).

Naming Templates

Please use the following placeholders in naming template field:

The original file names will be used if you leave the template field blank.

Make Lowercase

Indicates if the new filenames should be all lower-case.

Overwrite Existed Files

Indicates if the existed files should be overwritten while processing the images.

Watermark Options

You can click the Watermark button to specify the watermark options. The watermarks are simple text labels and/or small graphic images which may be applied over the resulting images. It is possible to control different properties of watermarks like font, size, color, background, transparency and position.
